Stories that glow a little differently.
Every Diwali, we gather light: in diyas, in laughter, in the small familiar rituals that turn homes golden again.
But light isn’t always loud. Sometimes, it’s the quiet kind, the one that flickers in a sentence, a memory, or the curve of a line that makes you smile unexpectedly.
This year, TBBD and @gaaajar (Nikhil Poddar) bring you a collection meant for those quieter sparks:
✨ 2 books, 1 zine, and 2 postcards: each one a pocket of calm, curiosity, and creative mischief.
It’s for the reader who wants to tuck away from the noise for a moment — to breathe, to feel, to read something that doesn’t rush.
🥕About Gaaajar
Nikhil Poddar writes for a generation that’s rediscovering the joy of holding words again — not on a screen, but in their hands.
Winner of Bazinega’s Poetry Award 2024 for Insert Feelings Here, he crafts zines and mini-books that blend humor, tenderness, and a quiet sense of wonder. His zine Akela — a dialogue describing a banana to an alien — was featured at Serendipity Arts Festival 2023, and his essay Vidya Devi (from Everything Happens for a Season) appeared on Blahcksheep, turning questions of faith into artful conversation.
His work makes you pause, grin, and sometimes reflect a little longer than you planned.
This Diwali,
Let the lamps burn bright, and let your mind wander with them.
Let stories find you between sips of chai and bursts of laughter.
Let art remind you what light can look like on paper, in thought, in you.
TBBD Diwali x Gaaajar: for Diwali that shines softly, stays longer, and makes for great stories.
